The Bertrand Coiffier Prize 2025 was recently awarded to two promising young researchers: Dr. Amira Marouf (LYSA) and Dr. Nazarii Shokun (ELI).
- Prof. Marc André, President of the European Lymphoma Institute (ELI), and Prof. Franck Morschhauser, President of the Lymphoma Study Association (LYSA), presented the prestigious award to Dr. Amira Marouf during the LYSA Days in Toulouse last October.
Dr. Marouf, currently based at Necker Hospital in Paris, presented her ambitious project titled: “Risk stratification in Mantle Cell Lymphoma patients treated with immunotherapy.” This research will be implemented starting in May 2026 at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York, USA, under the mentorship of Dr. Santosha A. Vardhana and Prof. Gilles Salles.
- The ELI Prize was simultaneously awarded to Dr. Nazarii Shokun from the University of Kyiv in Ukraine for his project focusing on “newly diagnosed peripheral T cell lymphoma.” Dr. Shokun is set to begin his research fellowship in November 2025, hosted by Prof. Ugo De Giorgi, Chair of Medical Oncology at the University of Salento, Lecce, Italy.
About the Bertrand Coiffier Prize
The European Lymphoma Institute (ELI) launched this Prize to encourage mobility and support young physicians wishing to continue their activity in lymphoma research. The core aim of this call for applications is to support career paths of excellence and to make future physicians aware of research by providing them with the means to train in the best academic institutions globally. This Prize is fundamentally a mobility aid, enabling the winners to benefit from additional training through research in an institution of excellence. This spirit is faithful to the actions undertaken throughout the career of Professor Bertrand Coiffier.
Next call to be published in spring 2026
