Funded by ELI, this Prize is for young physicians (clinicians and biologists) in internship or post-internship, and wishing to continue their activity in lymphoma research, in order to encourage mobility in Europe.
- The aim of this call for applications is to support career paths of excellence and to make future physicians aware of research, by giving them the means to train in the best academic European institutions (laboratories or clinical departments).
- This Prize is a mobility aid enabling the winners to benefit from additional training through research in a European institution of excellence.
- This spirit is faithful to the actions undertaken in his career by Professor Bertrand Coiffier.
- The selection of candidates will be made by an international scientific committee.
The grant has been awarded to Fabian Ullrich from the University Hospital of Essen in Germany. He will conduct a one-year project in the laboratory of Prof. Johannes Zuber, Research Institute of Molecular Pathology, Vienna, Austria:
“I would like to propose a highly innovative strategy for the discovery of targetable genetic alterations in CAR-T cell therapy for DLBCL, particularly focusing on actionable pathways within the CAR-T cell compartment.”

Funded by LYSA (the French Lymphoma Study Association), the Award goes to Jean Galtier (Bordeaux University) as a post-doctoral fellow at Columbia University, Institute for Cancer Genetics.
He will conduct a project aimed at dissecting the landscape and functional significance of somatic mutations targeting super-enhancer (SE) networks in transformed follicular lymphoma (tFL).
